  • Spring break begins next Monday, March 21st with Faculty and Students being out all week. Many staff members are also taking advantage of the break to take vacation. The campus is closed on Friday, March 25th as a regular practice during that week.
  • The College participated in Bowl for Kids Sake to help Big Brother and Big Sisters in March. We raised $1,440 for this important organization. Unfortunately we didn’t get any photos from the other three teams…yet. This is the “Gutter Snipes” with Yours Truly, my wife Brenda. Tracy’s husband Jeff, Tracy, and my daughter Caitlan. Regardless of the lack of bowling talent on your President’s part, a great time was had by all who participated and we are very grateful to all who gave.
  • The fourth annual MATC March/April Madness Basketball Tournament will be held in early April on the 6th and 7th. We hope to see Building Trades defend their title against all other programs.
  • The SGO bake sale was Tuesday, March 15th. They were able to raise $150.00 through the sale of donated items. Thanks to all those that worked the sale and those who donated food.
  • Mr. Robert M. Tomlinson, the Assistant Commission of Insurance was here on Thursday, March 17th to meet with students, staff, and visitors in our Business Administration programs. According to Carol Keltner the time was filled well with excellent PowerPoint presentations and he was able to capture the students attention during both presentations. We appreciate his time and willingness to share with our students.
  • As a heads-up, we will be using a summer schedule of four-10 hour days beginning Monday, May 30 through Thursday, July 28th. The shifted schedule allows us to save utility costs and is great for morale. Plan your summer meetings accordingly.
Have a great weekend or Spring Break.
